𝗦.𝗢.𝗘. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗿𝗮 : เสียงแห่งยุคสมัย
เทศกาลศิลปะร่วมสมัยนานาชาติครั้งที่ 3 𝗦.𝗢.𝗘. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗿𝗮 เสียงกู่ร้องอันทรงพลังที่จะสะท้อนความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม ประวัติศาสตร์ และความเชื่อในความเป็นมนุษย์ที่เท่าเทียม ในครั้งนี้งานเทศกาลจะถูกจัดขึ้นในพื้นที่ 3 จังหวัดของภาคอีสาน ได้แก่ อำเภอศรีเชียงใหม่ อำเภอท่าบ่อ จังหวัดหนองคาย อำเภอเมืองจังหวัดอุดรธานี และปิดท้ายลงที่จังหวัดขอนแก่นอันเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของโครงการนี้
𝗦.𝗢.𝗘. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗿𝗮 เป็นเทศกาลที่เชื่อมโยงประวัติศาสตร์ร่วมสมัย สังคมและวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย ผ่านกระบวนการทำงานศิลปะร่วมสมัยเข้าด้วยกัน โดยชูจุดเด่นของภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขงและศักยภาพของพื้นที่ในการสร้างความตระหนักรู้ และพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างชุมชนในท้องถิ่นและระดับนานาชาติ
ในครั้งนี้จะเป็นปฏิบัติการร่วมกับศิลปิน นักวิชาการ นักจัดการศิลปะกว่า 30 ชีวิตจากหลากหลายประเทศ เพื่อสร้างสรรค์และกำหนดทิศทางผลงานศิลปะร่วมสมัย ที่สะท้อนถึงมิติของประวัติศาสตร์ทับซ้อน ความทรงจำร่วมของสงครามในอดีต สิทธิมนุษยชน และการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยมีแม่น้ำโขงที่เป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่งการเชื่อมโยงผู้คนผ่านความทรงจำเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน ภายใต้บริบทพื้นที่พรมแดนของภูมิภาค
เสียงแห่งอดีต: ร่องรอยของสงครามและความเจ็บปวดร่วมกัน
𝗦.𝗢.𝗘. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 สำรวจและตั้งคำถามถึงความทรงจำของสงครามในอดีต เช่น สงครามเวียดนามสงครามอินโดจีน ผ่านบาดแผลของสงคราม ซึ่งครั้งหนึ่งของยุคสมัยภูมิภาคอีสานและลุ่มแม่น้ำโขงเคยเป็นจุดยุทธศาสตร์สำคัญของความขัดแย้งในคราวนั้น จะพบได้ว่าในหลายพื้นที่ของอีสานคงสถานการณ์เป็นพื้นที่กันชน (Buffer Zone) มาโดยตลอด ความสูญเสีย การพลัดถิ่นฐาน และผลกระทบต่อชุมชนในพื้นที่ยังคงส่งผลมาถึงปัจจุบัน ในร่องรอยของเสียงของความทรงจำนี้ จะถูกผลิตซ้ำจากศิลปินที่โครงการคัดเลือก ให้มาถ่ายทอดผ่านงานศิลปะร่วมสมัย ที่ต้องอาศัยกระบวนการทำงานภาคสนามและข้อมูลเชิงวิชาการ ในการผลิตและสร้างสรรค์
เสียงแห่งธรรมชาติ : แม่น้ำโขงสายสัมพันธ์ไร้พรมแดน
แม่น้ำโขงไม่เพียงเป็นแหล่งทรัพยากรสำคัญ แต่ยังเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการพึ่งพาอาศัยกันและการอยู่ร่วมกันในภูมิภาค แม่น้ำสายนี้เชื่อมโยงชีวิตของผู้คนหลากหลายเชื้อชาติ หลากหลายชาติพันธุ์ ผ่านภาษา และวัฒนธรรม โดยปราศจากเส้นแบ่งของรัฐชาติหรืออำนาจการปกครอง บทบาทของศิลปินในส่วนนี้ จะมีกระบวนการทำงานที่เข้าไปสำรวจ มิติการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางด้านกายภาพและสิ่งแวดล้อมของแม่น้ำโขง จากผลกระทบการพัฒนาของระบบทุน จากสภาวะโลกร้อน รวมถึงจากน้ำมือของมนุษย์ บทบาทของศิลปินไม่เพียงแต่สำรวจพื้นที่เพื่อสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะเพียงเท่านั้น แต่ศิลปินอาจจะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการเชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้ของผู้คน ในแถบลุ่มน้ำโขงอันหลากหลายเข้ามาช่วยแก้ปัญหา รวมถึงหาทางออกร่วมกันในประเด็นผลกระทบทางด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เกิดขึ้นในขณะนี้
เสียงแห่งปัจจุบัน : ศิลปะเพื่อสิทธิมนุษยชนและความหวัง
ในโลกที่ยังคงเต็มไปด้วยความเหลื่อมล้ำและความขัดแย้ง ศิลปินในเทศกาลนี้ใช้ศิลปะเป็นเครื่องมือในการแสดงออกถึง สิทธิมนุษยชน และการเชื่อมโยงผู้คนเข้าด้วยกัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการเรียกร้องสิทธิขั้นพื้นฐาน การสำรวจชีวิตของผู้ลี้ภัย หรือการตั้งคำถามถึงเส้นแบ่งที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นโดยรัฐชาติและอุดมการณ์ทางการเมือง
เสียงแห่งอนาคต : การส่งต่อความหวังในยุคสมัยใหม่
เทศกาลศิลปะ 𝗦.𝗢.𝗘. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 พวกเราหวังว่าจะเป็นพื้นที่ทางสังคมของศิลปะร่วมสมัย ที่สามารถฉุดกระชากเสียงของผู้คนตัวเล็กตัวน้อยและธรรมชาติที่ถูกทำลาย ให้สามารถส่งเสียงกู่ก้องขึ้นมาอีกครั้งผ่านบทสนทนาที่ข้ามผ่านเส้นแบ่งทางฐานะ ชนชั้น รัฐชาติ อันเป็นเป้าหมายหลักของเทศกาลนี้คือการส่งต่อความหวัง และ การเปลี่ยนแปลงเชิงบวก ผ่านการร่วมมือของศิลปิน ผู้คน และชุมชน โดยเน้นถึงการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างยั่งยืนในโลกที่ไร้พรมแดน

𝗦.𝗢.𝗘. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗿𝗮 “เสียงแห่งยุคสมัย”
The 3rd International Contemporary Art Festival, 𝗦.𝗢.𝗘. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗿𝗮 “เสียงแห่งยุคสมัย”, is a powerful cry reflecting cultural diversity, history, and the belief in equal humanity. This year’s festival will be held in three Isan provinces: Sri Chiang Mai District, Tha Bo District in Nong Khai Province, and Mueang District, Udon Thani Province, and will conclude in Khon Kaen Province, the origin of this project.
𝗦.𝗢.𝗘. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗿𝗮 is a festival that connects contemporary history, society, and culture through contemporary art. It highlights the strengths of the Mekong River region and its potential to raise awareness and develop collaborations between local and international communities.
This year, the event will collaborate with over 30 artists, academics, and art curators from various countries to create and shape contemporary art that reflects the dimensions of overlapping histories, shared memories of past wars, human rights, natural and environmental changes. The Mekong River, a symbol of connecting people through memory, is also part of the regional border context.
Sounds of the Past: Traces of War and Shared Pain
𝗦.𝗢.𝗘. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 explores and questions the memory of past wars, such as the Vietnam War and the Indochina War, through the wounds of war. At one time, the Isan region and the Mekong River Basin were crucial strategic points during that conflict. It can be seen that many areas in Isan remained buffer zones throughout. Losses, displacement, and impacts on local communities continue to impact the present. Traces of these sounds of memory will be reproduced by artists selected by the project to convey them through contemporary art, drawing on fieldwork and academic data.
Sounds of Nature: The Mekong River, a Borderless Connection
The Mekong River is not only a vital resource but also a symbol of interdependence and coexistence within the region. The river connects the lives of people of diverse races and ethnicities through language and culture, without the boundaries of nation-states or governmental power. Artists’ roles in this work include exploring the physical and environmental dimensions of the Mekong River, resulting from the impacts of capitalist development, global warming, and human intervention. The Artists’ role is not simply to explore the landscape to create artwork. We propose that artists can play a part in connecting the diverse knowledge of people in the Mekong Basin to solve problems and find shared solutions to the current environmental impacts.
Sounds of the Present: Art for Human Rights and Hope
In a world plagued by inequality and conflict, artists at this festival use art as a tool to express human rights and connect people. Whether it’s advocating for basic rights, exploring the lives of refugees, or questioning the boundaries created by nation-states and political ideologies,
Sounds of the Future: Spreading Hope in the Modern Era
In this presentation of 𝗦.𝗢.𝗘. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 , we hope to be a social space for contemporary art that can reclaim the voices of the marginalized and the degraded nature of the region, allowing the people to resonate through dialogues that transcend lines of status, class, and nation-state. The festival’s primary goal is to spread hope and positive change through collaborations between artists, people, and communities, emphasizing the possibility of a sustainable coexistence in a borderless world.
𝗦.𝗢.𝗘. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗿𝗮 is more than just an art exhibition; it unites the voices of history, nature, and humanity into a dialogue of the era. These voices reflect both the painful past and the fragile present, developing a future full of hope. This festival aims not only to captivate audiences, but also to inspire awareness and change, both locally and internationally.
